Split Album The game YS R0TTYN

CZ INFO: Polské labely Mik Musik a BDTA vydávají společně split album českého excentrika Ventolina s polskými mysteriózními elektronickými experimentátory RSS B0YS. Na desce je sedm instrumentálních skladeb, dvě od RSS B0YS, tři od Ventolina a dva vzájemné remixy. Deska vznikala postupně během dvou let 2015-16, kdy se Ventolin a RSS B0YS potkávali na koncertech v ČR a Polsku. Byť se tvorba obou liší, na této desce našli společnou řeč, která vychází z podobného živého přístupu k elektronickým hudebním nástrojům a vystupování. Nejedná se o vteřinu po vteřině pečlivě aranžované a kalkulované skladby, ale o záznam živého hypnotického hraní, syrové energie interakce se stroji. THE GAME YS R0TTYN označuje téma manipulace s daty, která si upravujeme tak, abychom vytvořili svět, který bude lépe vypadat, za který se budeme moct schovat. Cover design k desce vytvořilo designérské studio The Rodina.

About the remixers:

Hunter Husar (US) is a multinistrumentalist, founder and member of bands Mahjongg and HUJO, also known under his solo project Winston Lasker. Mahjongg was a band based in Columbia, Missouri. Formed by multi-instrumentalist Husar and former guitarist Jeff Carrillo in 2001, their sound combined guitar, synthesizer and computer manipulations with dense rhythmic textures derived from Afrobeat, funk, and post-punk. They performed at the Pitchfork Music Festival and the Off Festival in Mysłowice, Poland. In December 2010 they played the All Tomorrow's Parties Festival curated by Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

Karaoke Tundra (SK/CZ) is a master of musical miniatures with his songs seldom being longer than 2 minutes. Songs by Karaoke Tundra have developed their music and sound from experimental/ambient to more classic style forms mainly inspired by hip-hop. This can be mostly seen in the prominent rhythm, use of samples, and cooperation with turntablists and rappers. However, he never gives up the omnipresent sound defects, static, interference, noises and effects which always differentiate his songs and function as very interesting details.
